Good Friends and Good Times

This weekend has been a blur. Friends from all over came in this weekend so we could attend the wedding of our girl Chelsi Maxwell now Bruce. Gina "Dirty" Tramel and Alan Felts drove in from Texas. Sarah Cowan (South Carolina) met Lauren Humphrey in K-town (for those of us who didn't know this Knoxville), Tennessee and then they drove to Decatur, Alabama to meet us with Megan Jones and on to Louisiana they drove.

Alan and Gina made it to Shreveport, LA early enough so we got to go out to eat Friday night and just hang out and talk about all the good times this past summer. Sad news about our home "The Cove", Alan talked to someone who worked at Ridgecrest and they told him that "The Cove" is no longer. They were tearing it down to build another structure because apparently it was not safe. Go figure, we thought it was the best. Our home away from home!! Meg, Lauren, Katy and Duncan will have to send us pics and let us know what changes at Ridgecrest have happened so we will all know.

Meg, Lauren and Sarah rolled in about 11:30 pm. They had been in the car all day long!! But all thought of sleep and being tired flew out the window when they got here. I believe that when we looked at the clock before going to bed it said "2:30 am. What a long, fun night kinda reminds me of all those late nights at camp.

On to the wedding!!! Chelsi looked amazing. The wedding was gorgeous and my favorite part was when she wiped the sweat from a very nervous Dave Bruce's face while saying her vows. What a wife she is going to be. I think everyone in the church said "awwwww!" When we got to the wedding an noticed the colors, we are proud to say that we matched the wedding party. Take a look at the photo! That was the first thing Chelsi told us when we got to see after the ceremony, "Wow, ya'll match my colors." We were all sporting a new "Fuge team uniform".

The reception was beautiful. Lots of Louisiana flair with using the "Fleur de Lis" as decoration. Chelsi had the time of her life. She danced her heart out. Watching Chelsi dance with her dad was so sweet but the first dance of the newly married Mr. and Mrs. Dave Bruce was breath-taking. Dave was singing to Chelsi and Chelsi was singing to Dave and it was cute.

My friends have now all gone back to their homes and I sitting here remembering how blessed I am by having such great friends and I constantly thank God for them. This reunion came at the best time. I have been going through so much especially this past week. I am in the process of looking for a new job, with that comes moving, finding somewhere to live, and all of this has to happen before May 16, my last day of school. I leave on the 18th for "Training Week" and then on to camp!!! So I have lots to do and a little time. Please pray that God will show me what and where I am supposed to be in my life and my job.

Love you,

Stacy
